Dr. Hend Mahrous

Dr. Hend Mahrous Mohamed is an accomplished political science scholar and educator with extensive academic and professional experience in African and Arab studies. She holds a PhD in Politics and Economics from Cairo University’s Faculty of African Postgraduate Studies, graduating with excellent honors. Her academic journey spans prestigious institutions including the Arab League’s Institute of Arab Research and Studies, where she earned both a diploma and a master’s degree in political studies with high marks.
Dr. Hend has developed a robust expertise in political analysis, with a focus on African political dynamics, international relations, and regional security issues. She has published numerous research papers in reputable journals such as the African Youth Journal and the Journal of African Studies. Her research covers topics ranging from military presence in the Horn of Africa, African youth politics, to China’s strategic interests in Africa. She has also actively participated in international academic conferences, sharing insights on Egypt’s development strategies and political-economic relations across Africa.
In addition to her research, Dr. Hend has practical experience as an instructor and trainer in political and economic topics, having worked with youth development organizations and university programs. She has demonstrated strong skills in academic writing, digital transformation, and leadership development.
Her professional background also includes roles in organizational management and training within non-governmental organizations and the private sector, reflecting a blend of academic rigor and applied experience.
Dr. Hend is proficient in Arabic (native) and English (written and spoken), and is skilled in computer applications including Microsoft Office and internet research tools.
