Associate Professor Dr. Sherif Taha El-Boushi

Dr. Sherif Hassan Taha El-Boushi is an Egyptian academic specializing in constitutional law and political systems, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Suleiman International University, which he joined in 2018.

Dr. El-Boushi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Assiut University, Egypt, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the same institution. He went on to pursue postgraduate studies, earning a Master’s degree in Public Law, followed by a Ph.D. in Public Law from Assiut University in 2014. His doctoral dissertation was entitled: “Constitutional Legitimacy between Secular Systems and the Islamic System: A Comparative Study,” supervised by Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Khalil Hekal and Prof. Dr. Abdel Rahman Mohamed Abdel Qader.

After relocating to Turkey, Dr. El-Boushi joined the Faculty of Law at Suleiman International University, where he began an impactful academic career. He has contributed significantly to curriculum development and academic research in his field. In recognition of his scholarly achievements and academic contributions, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor.

Dr. El-Boushi’s research interests focus on political systems, comparative constitutional analysis, and the compatibility of legal systems with Islamic principles. He pays particular attention to exploring the relationship between constitutional legitimacy and political structure in Muslim-majority countries.

Through his academic work, Dr. El-Boushi strives to foster scientific collaboration between Egypt and Turkey, and he is considered a prominent voice in his field. He actively participates in academic conferences, scholarly forums, and institutional development efforts, thereby contributing to the growing reputation of Suleiman International University as a leading educational institution in the region.
